Asian Stir Fry
Ingredients:
- 2 pounds of Grass Fed Beef steak strips (alternatively, slice sirloin steak into ¼” strips)
- 2 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
- ⅓ cup of soy sauce
- 2 tsp of sesame oil
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tsp of grated fresh ginger
- 1 tsp of freshly ground black pepper
- 2 white onions, chopped
- 2 cups of bok choy, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 cup of snow peas
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 1 cup of Szechuan sauce
- 1 tbsp of sesame seeds, optional
- ¼ cup of freshly chopped green onion, optional
Directions:
- Prepare marinade. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger and black pepper.
- Pour the marinade over the beef. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a frying pan or wok over medium heat. Remove beef from marinade and saute for 5 minutes, or until meat is cooked through. Place beef in a dish and set aside.
- Pour the remaining 1 tbsp of olive oil into the pan or wok. Add the carrots and onions. Saute for 2-3 minutes or until the vegetables begin to soften. Add the bok choy, bell pepper and snow peas and saute for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in the beef alongside the vegetables, add the szechuan sauce and mix until all the vegetables and meat are well coated.
- Remove from the heat and serve over rice or noodles.
- Optional. Sprinkle sesame seeds and green onion garnish.
